The cost of an on-site consultation is $265. You pay this when you book your appointment for the Landscaping Consultation.

1. A Mattis designer who meets with you on-site at your property and spends up to an hour to understand your landscaping wants and needs.

2. Following your consultation, rough drawings will be provided by email and are generally sketched on photos taken from the site visit. These sketches will be received by email within 10 business days.

3. We can also provide professional horticulture advice on many landscape items such as plant/tree identification, pruning, soil questions, and drainage issues. Please be prepared to take notes.

1. You can decide to contract with Mattis Landscaping to do the installation, or you can use the sketches and planting options to move forward with a DIY installation.

2. If you decide to contract with Mattis to do the installation you can request changes and modifications to the proposed design and your Mattis Designer will furnish you with a formal estimate.

3. Once you accept the estimate, you will pay 50% up-front and the remaining 50% upon completion of the project.

4. After you have confirmed and paid you will get an approximate date for the installation. We are typically 6-8 weeks out depending on weather and other projects.

For budgeting purposes, a typical installation or enhancement project starts at $3,500. From that point, it depends on the wants and needs of the client and the design that is being installed!

1. If in the landscape design process, you decide you would like to proceed with a landscape installation, the designer can meet you at one of the garden centers we utilize to source our plant material. The purpose would be to review ideas, view plant suggestions and provide an estimate. (this is a secondary appointment from the initial consultation.)

2. On larger scale projects, such as more extensive master plans either hand drawn on graph paper or produced via AutoCad will require additional design time. With your authorization we will bill additional design hours at $85/design hour. Ask your landscape designer for further details.

3. We can provide an Autocad drawing of your design for an additional $1250 for lots under .75 acres. An AutoCad drawing will require that you furnish Mattis Landscaping with a PDF version of your lot plat map. A plat map is a survey that is often included when you buy a house. A plat map shows the legal boundaries of where your property starts and stops. It is drawn to scale and records the land’s size, boundary locations, nearby streets, flood zones, wetlands, and any easements or rights of way. If you do not have a plat map we can get one for you from a professional surveyor for $1,000.
